It's funny how life sometimes places you in situations that makes you discover a deep unknown longing. It's like, when presented a thing or an event, you discover that, in fact, you have been wishing for it for as long as you can remember. Yesterday I had such an experience, and boy is it something I'll remember for a long time.

"Speak Softly Love" is the original name of the theme song of The Godfather movies, which is one of my favorite movie themes. And yesterday, at a family gathering with Miss Vega's family, I was blessed with the opportunity to hear this melody performed on what I consider to be the only worthy instrument: a violin.

It was truly a moment to treasure, and I'm so happy for having had the opportunity to hear this classic theme song on such a classic instrument. It completely wiped out all the tacky versions I've ever heard (and there has been plenty over the years, the worst probably being the mobile phone midi edition (jebus!)). No, this was as good as you can get it, as real as it should be. And know I can strike this of my list of unknown things, I hope to experience... :)
